Polyclinic Afrik Fund

Post date: Aug 21, 2020

In Africa, many aspiring doctors and surgeons are discouraged to pursue their medical dreams due to a lack of professional supervision, mentorship and quality continuing education at their local universities. In most countries, the ratio of formally trained surgeons to patients is between 1:250,000 and 1:2.5 million, costing the lives of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children. Despite these grave numbers, there is still a huge amount of interest to pursue a healthcare career. By building medical facilities to house professionals throughout Africa, we can attract graduates who will learn to serve effectively in a wide range of medical environments, motivating them to pursue their crucial career dreams in Africa.
